LANDOWNER RELATIONS

Over 100 years ago, West Virginia allowed for the severance of mineral rights from surface rights on properties in the state.  Today, this has led to an environment where the surface owner and the mineral owner of a tract of land are often separate individuals, with each owner holding different, and sometimes competing, interests and rights.  Stalnaker Energy Corporation understands the concerns of surface owners with mineral development.  We also share a love and deep appreciation for the land in this beautiful state.  The Stalnaker Family settled in this region of West Virginia in the 1700's.  The family continues to hunt, fish and farm the ground they own.  The responsible stewardship of the land, both family owned and land developed to extract the oil and gas, remains a top priority for our company.  We strive to have positive relationships with surface owners while developing the oil and gas in a responsible, environmentally friendly manner.
